HR >> Reds(18): Hernandez.

2009 new season begins with a workmanlike Reds Victory over the highly touted 20-time Champion Indians.

The Reds pounded out 14 hits in the opener leaving the crowd with more than their money's worth for the price of admission! Just about every inning the bases were covered with Red jerseys!

The Pitching was outstanding in week #1 as Reds starters didn't yield a walk after over 1 year away from the hill.

Don't let the somewhat close score of 6-1 fool you. This was a dominant performance by the Reds on every level. Word to the league. If you want to beat the Reds this year, you better bring more than your A game! We look forward to each and every challenge.
