REDS MAINTAIN THEIR PERFECT RECORD!

The Reds fought off a tough Mets team to record their 6th straight win on the year and improve to 6-0.

The SC Mets broke out in the 3rd and 4th innings scoring 4 runs and taking a 4-0 lead. It looked bad for the reigning champ Reds until Choco "Chocolate" Rodriguez banged out the Mets ace for a solo shot in the 5th. The big Red Machine came alive for 5 runs in that inning! Goldie Loc hit one of his three doubles, which was the knockout blow to the Mets Ace on a hanging slider, one of many thrown by Piper.

Up 5-4 the Reds grew their lead to 7-4 off the Mets reliever in the 6th with the help of a few Mets errors. The game got extremely tight when Met outfielder Coooooolman poked a 2-run homer off Reds stud reliever Felice who got the win for the Reds.

At 7-6 in the ninth, the Reds turned to reliever Adams to close out the game. After loading the bases with none out, the Reds went ole skool and pulled bar owner Rudy DeAnda out of the pen. Rudy was able to wiggle out of it and secure the save and win for the mighty Reds.

What a game, can't wait for the next matchup.-GM
