REDS on 8 GAME BENDER!

Well, this week the Phillies came out and ran with the Reds no doubt.

The prevailing problem for teams vs the Reds is shutting that door and clinching an upset win over the mighty team from SAN JO.

Phillies lefty starter #22 Nick Taylor had the Reds reeling for most of the game with an abundance of off speed and spot fastball work to the liking of the home plate ump. The Phillies were riding high on a 7-3 lead after 7!

On this day it looked as if the Reds would go down in defeat for the first time in '09. However, as the story goes time and time again, the Red machine woke up in the 8th finally knocking the Phillies starter out of the game on what seemed like the never ending inning. Each Red hitter coming to the plate left with a hit capped by Mr Adams BIG 3-run bomb to center, which gave the Reds the 9-7 lead.

Reds reliever Danny Ruberte pitched solid and earned his first victory of '09.

There is no telling how long this streak can go as the Reds have proven over and over again that they can catch you slippin in one inning and make you pay big, REAL BIG.-GM
