Great game between Astros and Jays. Astros took 7-1 lead through 5 innings. Jays come back to tie it 7-7 in the 6th and in the 7th Guy Giuffre went deep with a monster blast to make it 8-7.

A close game the entire way. The game started out with the Padres jumping out to a 2-0 lead after half an inning. The Braves tied the game at 2-2, after the bottom of the 1st. The Braves took the lead. In the 7th inning, the Padres stranded the tying run at 3rd to end the game.

Mariners use a 16 hit attack and their usual sharp defense to back the complete game pitching of Pete Madden for the victory.

Alex Gonzalez punctuated the proceedings by launching the third homer in Mariners' history in the seventh.
