O's can't overcome early deficit.

Orioles have go-ahead run in scoring position on a couple of occasions but can't get the key hit.

Pirates kept coming up with key defensive plays to keep the O's at bay.

Pirates:
Saporito (2-4, 2 Runs, 2 SB), Tremaine (1-3, 2B, RBI), Ventura (1-3, Run), Suyeyasu (2-3, 2 Runs), Cannon (1-2, Sac Fly, 2 RBI), Jovel (2-2, 2 SB), Glines (5 IP, 3 K, 3 ER).

Santa Cruz - Game 2

O's take an early 6-run lead, but can't hang on.

Pirates come back to take a 7-6 lead in the 6th only to have the O's tie it in the 7th. Pirates get the winning run to third base with no outs. After intentionally walking the bases loaded, with the infield drawn and outfield drawn in, Marco Del Real strikes out the next two hitters and induces a harmless ground ball to short to settle for the tie.

O's fortunate to salvage a tie. Pirates had it going and simply outplayed the O's.
