Leland - Game 1
Colt .45s 17
Nationals 0
WP: Precht.
HR >> Colt .45s: Melott, Orozco.

Pierce Precht took the mound for his 9th start of the season. Precht gave up a single in the 2nd inning but that was it for the lefty. It was his second 1 hitter of the season. He also struck out 14 out of the 20 batters he face. Precht finished the regular season with a 1.55 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP and a strike out to walk ratio of 89:17.

The offense was great for the Colt 45's as they combined for 15 hits and reached base 24 times. Matt Melott and Zach Orozco each had 3-run home runs on the day. Orozco had a record tying 4 hits in game 1 and finished with 5 on day.

Colt .45s:
Precht (W, 6 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 14 K, 0 BB), Orozco (4-4, HR, 4 RBI, Run, 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H), Bock (3-5, RBI, SB, Run), Melott (2-3, HR, 4 RBI, 3 Run), Pence (2-3, 4 RBI, Run), Phillips (1-4, 2 Run, RBI), Soza (1-3, 2 Run, RBI, 2 SB), Labbie, Ma (1-3, Run).

Leland - Game 2
Nationals 2
Colt .45s 5
WP: Rand.
HR >> None.

Jon Rand took the mound for his 4th start of the season and was brilliant as always. Rand let up 2 runs off of the Nationals small ball, but he took care of business after that throwing for his 2nd complete game of the year. Rand struck out 13 of the 27 batters he faced and only allowed 3 hits in his outing. Rand finished with a 1.55 ERA, 0.66 WHIP and a strikeout to walk ratio of an unreal 55 K's to only 2 walks.

The Nationals took the smart move and threw manager Juan Torres on the mound and it threw off many of the Colt 45's hitting. With the Colt 45's down 2-0 after the 2nd, the Colt 45's finally managed to scrap away a few runs to secure the victory.

Colt .45s:
Rand (W, CG, 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 13 K, 0 BB), Konkel (2-2, RBI, Run), Shani (1-2, Run, RBI), Pence (1-1, Run), Phillips (1-3, 2B), Brill (1-2, 2 RBI).
